Another must see attraction is the Royal Palace built in the mid 1800’s on the banks of the Tonle Sap river; It serves as the home of King Norodom Sihamoni and former King Norodom Sihanouk. The National Museum, was built during the French colonial era in the classical Khmer style has a spectacular collection of Khmer antiquities from the golden age of Khmer culture.
